Learn the basics with this favorite medium of illustrators, animators and graphic artists! Thick body, opaque, rich and water soluble, gouache paintings are vibrant with color and character. We’ll focus on PNW Coastlines to practice in this workshop - perfect for beginners.

We’ll begin this class with an overview on the basics of painting with gouache, color theory and color mixing.

We will then move on to applying these painting techniques to create coastline scenery using a beginner friendly step-by-step process. The techniques learned in this workshop can be applied to illustrate any other subject matter! All materials needed for this workshop will be provided and you’ll leave with your take home masterpieces!

All supplies included. All participants will receive gouache, brushes and paper.
